DIFFERENT CHAPTER Brown Paper Packages, Tied Up With String We all have weaknesses that make us vulnerable and open to darkness in the world. There is no doubt that Satan plays upon those weaknesses. So when the false light of Satan comes before you with temptation, you must remember who your life belongs to. You belong to God. Because of our weaknesses, sometimes, we hear what we want to hear. We may see what we want to see and feel what we want to feel. We develop tunnel vision. Just as Satan offered Jesus a kingdom and riches that really didn’t belong to him (Matthew 4:1-11), he presents temptations that offer us everything we want and expect. We are certain that it is God answering our prayers. It has to be. It couldn’t be anything else because temptation comes dressed in a package that looks like a gift from God.
