TRANSPARENCY: 

A Divided Soul and Spirit

As I closely follow the current events throughout the world, I have never ceased to be amazed at how intelligent people, many of very high intelligence quotient, can lack the ability to see, understand and do what is morally right and/or logically ethical. Thank God, that when I find myself in one of these fleshly fits of amnesia, I can always depend on Him to point out one or more of my own past personal experiences to draw upon, when I too, having not yet been reborn, or having failed to abide in Him, acted in the flesh, my soul having been separated from my spirit. Yet, it was not apparent to me and perhaps some others, that I was doing so. Sin often has no transparency and to a divided soul, it has none.

It is an enlightening and quickening thought--a soul separated from its spirit.  I have been pondering this state of being and how Hebrews 4:12 explains how this comes to be.

 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Therefore, if a man's soul (mind), having heard the Word of God, rejects it because of his love for the world and his flesh, then his soul becomes separated from his spirit, as a result of the power of God's Holy Word to separate that which chooses darkness over LIGHT. Furthermore, we must never forget that our spirit belongs to Him, whom it came from--God.

I began inquiring of our Father and asked, at what times does our soul become separated from our spirit? To which He answered, "At death and when we are dead in sin; for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?"

I had never really thought upon this idea; this crippling and disabling phenomenon, that separates a person, creating what seems to be two different people, in bondage, but, it began to make everything else fall into place.  So, I came to understand how academic intelligence, and what some refer to as common sense and street sense or smarts have limited usage and benefit, without the wisdom of God. They may get you so far in the world, but there will come a time, when you find you are incomplete, lacking something and not WHOLE. All the while, one's spirit will be ignored, unfed and restless, having no peace within.

This explains why some people appear to be simply clueless when it comes to understanding godly principles and applying them to their life. It also explains what drives some of them and why these people are always seeking or wanting to achieve  something, always wanting more, and more out of life, for the benefit of themselves, yet, pretending to be fine, benevolent, philanthropic and even better at living life than everyone else.

Now, don't get me wrong, I understand how people fall into bondage, but this implies something much deeper. This is not the 'forgive me, Lord, I recognize I have sinned' type of bondage, whereas, one has an innate moral conscience, or a moral compass, instilled by society, to restrain or remind them of their transgressions; neither does this begin because of a mental disability or a psychological personality disorder such as a sociopath or narcissist. No, in this case, the personality disorders can be a result of the disconnection, spiritual cutting and tearing asunder and the inability of one's spirit to communicate with one's soul. 

Please don't get ahead of me or think that I am implying that we are all better off ignorant or that all intelligent people are spiritually ill or more prone to become dictators, sociopaths or narcissists. No, no, no. I'm trying to lead you to see that without being joined to our spirit, we are lacking something crucial in order to properly apply our acquired knowledge, talents, and skills. This is why many people who appear to be intelligent lack the capacity to make good moral decisions and although they possess the tenacity to assert themselves as leaders, they lack godly character and good moral judgment. The soul that has been separated from the spirit cannot rightfully divide (comprehend) or contain the Word of God, for it is our spirit, our heart, upon which God writes His Word and communicates with us. One's sheer, self-serving determination to succeed and self-serving goodwill can carry them far within the world, but nowhere with God.

I, like most people, have erroneously tried to equate intelligence, and success, as a result of intelligence, with an aptitude for morality and righteousness, which is an essential attribute for good leadership. 

However, as the late Gene Roddenberry  often pointed out to television viewers and moviegoers, pure logic can often be erroneous because it lacks the emotional depth and wisdom of the human spirit; that wisdom, which can only come from GOD.

  

A man who is separated from his spirit, cannot be led by holiness and righteousness and because he is blind without the Word, he cannot see what he lacks. He wanders in darkness and in self, living to quench the desires of his flesh. He cannot see that his thinking and behavior is irrational, erratic and his ideas are often irrelevant. He cannot connect with others on a spiritual level, therefore, he lacks TRUE empathy and compassion.

Are these types of people dangerous and unstable? YES! ALWAYS! Things such as friendship, truth, fairness, compassion, holiness, righteous, equality, faithfulness, and other feelings and acts that show integrity, Truth, and Love are basically just self-serving words and tools to manipulate others in order to get what they want. Such a man or woman cannot  see the opposite sex as equals, but views them as objects to satisfy their desires and add to their vanity. Love, or being in love, is something that satisfies their desires.

Can one benefit from grabbing and holding onto the coattails of these types of individuals? This depends on your definition of benefit! However, like-personalities and people who have less influence gravitate to these types of people because of what I call the 'bulldozer effect'. They use these types of people to do their "dirty" work for them in order to keep their hands clean and plow ahead. This quality is very apparent in their friends, admirers, apprentices, surrogates, and supporters.

As I talked to my Lord about loving ones enemy, I wanted to better understand people like this; dangerous people, who rise to power and threaten the safety and livelihood of others. I wanted to understand men and women like, Jezebel, Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Mao Zedong, Benito Mussolini, Pol Pot, Kim Jong-il, Saddam Hussein, Robert Mugabe, Fidel Castro, Kim Jong-un, Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump, Vlad III, Idi Amin Dada, Vladimir Lenin, Chiang Kai-shek, Ho Chi Minh, and so many more power hungry men and women, who are responsible for massive murders of their own people and others, political prisoners, extreme cruelty, torture, and war crimes.  I knew this would help me to understand men like Donald Trump, whom the Lord showed me had reached that paramount point in his 70 year old life, where, deep within his soul, he is reaching out to a severed spirit, unable to make a connection. Therefore, he has sought something else to try and make up for the selfish life he has led. 

I knew this to be true, when he stood and made the profound statement, "This may be the only way I get to Heaven." Although, this statement was made to get the attention and approval of Evangelicals, this is not a statement of a man who has had an ongoing relationship with God or an established relationship with God. Children of God know better than to think or say something so ignorant and far removed from godliness. It is a statement of a desperate, insensitive, and maniacal man who knows he has fallen short of the Mark and has little chance of making amends. This is the one thing he sees that he must conquer before he dies and sadly, he believes as Simon the Magician believed, which is to say that God and the Kingdom of Heaven can be bought. 

The reality of aging and death is now upon him and undeniably an undefeatable foe. At this point in his life, it is his Achilles Heel. Proving his virility and stamina and superior ability is an obsession. Therefore, he is making a desperate attempt to claim the ultimate power a man can obtain and through his twisted and demented thinking, an appeal to God for redemption, salvation and eternal life.

At the same time, it is so very insulting to him, as a white man, that a black man has acquired what is seen to him and other white supremacists as the highest station of masculinity and male power. It emasculates them. It is the ultimate contradiction and insult to their ideology of the supremacy of whites over blacks. Which is why they must continue to discredit President Barack Obama and his presidency.

It is very sad that because of his blindness, Trump is still doing more harm than good. He cannot break the chains that have him bound within a family curse of pride, prejudice, and greed, neither can he expect, becoming president to get him into Heaven.

However, this is just another of the many bazaar statements he has made that his supporters, many who see themselves as Christians and Believers, find to be acceptable and the media and politicians are afraid to touch, because it deals with faith, or what some label as religious beliefs.

This gives us a very good view into Mr. Trump's soul and what's making him tick right now. He is not the strong, secure, powerhouse he pretends to be. Underneath is something very insecure and vulnerable. One only needs to tap into this unreachable goal, which he has no control over; control and worldly self-esteem being the root of his identity.

Nonetheless, I pray that he, his children, and his grandchildren will humble themselves, pray, repent, and seek God's face to break through the bondage and end this family curse that not only effects them, but others around them. One close to him sees this and remains silent. May God grant her peace within for the life she feels guilt and shame for and the fear she has for her child.

As we look to Donald Trump as an example of a divided soul, we must also look to ourselves and those around us, as God has told us that sin, by His Word, cuts and separates us from our spirit. We must look at our own behavior and the allowances and alliances that we are willing to make to obtain and attain the things in life we desire, believe in, and support. Are we setting ourselves up for our own demise? Has our vision been obscured, or are we totally blind because we have been separated from our spirit? --And, is there ever a way back?

With God, all things are possible. Did Saul not encounter the Spirit of Christ Jesus and lose his sight on the way to persecute and kill those labeled as Christians--followers and Disciples of Christ Jesus? --And, did God not send him to Ananias for the scales to be removed from his eyes, whereas, he began to see beyond his darkened and limited vision to become Paul, a follower, witness, and ambassador for Christ Jesus? Paul's faith had been misguided and set upon the wrong path. God sent him Jesus to show him The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Amen.

TRANSPARENCY

Transparency may magnify or distort facts.

 

Transparency may not be enough to fulfill expectations.

 Transparency may only show part of the puzzle.

 Transparency may not hold water or be inaccurately measured.

Transparency may create unfairness and inequality.

When is transparency not useful, making our efforts to assure and reach out to others to no avail? When it, too, is divided. When there are hardened hearts and preconceived opinions that make it null and void. 

We can have family members who have known us for years accuse us of not being transparent because of their established opinions about us and no matter how much we've changed, if we don't meet their preconceived expectations to be what they want us to be, in their eyes we are not being transparent. 

Recently, out of curiosity I visited an atheist website, which had visited my blog (I must be doing something right), all the while questioning my reasoning for subjecting myself to such aggravation. 

Upon perusing the website and stopping to read a fair amount of articles filled with opposition to religion, heady, erudite rhetoric, indicative of lengthy scientific explanations attributing the origin of religion to hallucinations, psychosomatic disorders and superstitious dreamers, seeking the meaning of life, overshadowed and dressed in a plethora of related communist propaganda, anti-American, anti-European, anti-Semitic, anti-Islamic, anti-Christ, etc., I allowed myself to become appalled and taken aback--disconcerted--washed in  feelings of disdain.  To understand the seriousness of having these unwanted feelings, please allow me to entertain you with the dictionary's definition of disdain: 

• the feeling that someone or something is unworthy of one's consideration or respect; contempt.

• synonyms: contempt, scorn, scornfulness, contemptuousness, derision, disrespect

Well, I'd just given the Holy Spirit a mess to clean up inside of me, because the material I read was toxic, harmful, and dangerous, making these feelings linger inside of me.  However, it was not without purpose and fruitfulness, for here I am writing, learning, and sharing. 

Knowing that there was a lesson to be learned, I asked God, what must I see and know about my enemy, Lord?

Love them.

Love them? But, it is so difficult for people to love their enemy, Lord, when he is constantly abrasive and cutting into their very soul. They think, must I? Even this enemy? He is my enemy for a reason, Lord. He boasts of doing harm to me. He seeks to discredit me. He plots and schemes behind my back to darken the sun that shines upon me and to obstruct my path. And, yes, you know, he has done even more, Lord. He has brought misery to those around me and cursed those whom I love.

Father, how can they love him, when he turns his back upon You and despises Your Word and principles? How can they love he, who cares for no one but himself and vain glory?

Be ye Holy, for I am Holy and make the sun to shine upon the righteous and the unrighteous; for My hand conducts the symphony of Life and beats the drum to stir the hearts of those whose feet march and strike the ground moving forward on to Victory; and it is I who defeats the foe who stands against Me. FIGHT NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD. For the Blood of My Son has cleansed the Battlefield of Sin and prepared a Way for ALL.

I am beginning to see, Lord. Thank you for opening my eyes. Man can do nothing without You. Even to hate or despise ones enemy is vanity, for it accomplishes nothing, but to darken ones own heart and step out of Your Holy Light, making us hypocrites and participants in the same debauchery and sin that sickens us.

But, mostly, not loving our enemy shows that we do not trust God--You Father. You, who supplies the air that we breathe. By not trusting You, we are not abiding in you to be made Perfect in Love. For, had we been perfect in love, there would be no hatred, malice, condemnation or judgment in our heart toward our enemy. 

NEVER, in the time span of this generation, has the fine line, separating the crossroads to the narrow path of the Kingdom been so visible to the naked eye!!! It is like the handwriting on the wall (Daniel 5) interpreted by the prophet Daniel. You have given us a sign of the end  times and created a vehicle to separate the wheat from the tares right before our eyes! 

All that is occurring in the world today, is a result of many people removing God as the foundation of their lives, family, society, and nation. The circus in the United States, played out before our eyes today, seemingly so bazaar and incredible, is to expose the hypocritical and illogical thinking of those who have embraced the lies of the world and who have been totally blinded and led into darkness and bondage, becoming tools of the adversary. They cannot see that their behavior has become deplorable in God's eyes along side those who openly display hatred and judgment. They are being given a choice to make; to stand with, or against God.

How utterly useless and senseless to hate and destroy oneself for those who have already chosen to condemn themselves to darkness and eternal damnation.

Having sold their souls to the father of lies, living and acting in deception, they are forever consumed with the work of their master--stirring up strife. This is their strategy for winning and if they can get us to join in their foolishness, they have succeeded in distracting us from doing that which would propel us to Victory in Jesus!!!

My Brothers and Sisters,

If we are to expect transparency, we must abide in holiness and righteousness, our hearts washed clean and free of pride, hatred, condemnation, judgment and preconceived, self-serving expectations.  If we are to be transparent, true transparency can only be found in those who WALK IN THE LIGHT OF GOD!

Those who suffer from a divided soul and spirit are incapable of showing transparency. They are void of godly wisdom and Light, groping blindly in darkness.  Providing documents to prove facts satisfies compliancy, but it cannot dismiss the arguability of the degree of transparency, or, satisfy the existing negative, unrealistic, unattainable, and self-serving expectations of one's opposition or enemies.

We who are not of the world must use the DISCERNMENT of God's HOLY SPIRIT to help direct and guide us in our relationships with friend and foe. We cannot rely upon transparency from a world which is immersed in the lies of the enemy and therefore incapable of being truly transparent.

Our careful examination and assessment, not judgment of others qualifications must follow guidelines of disclosure and documentation, however, our relationship and trust in our Heavenly Father is our assurance that; come what may, He is in control and will bring us through our circumstances victoriously, for God never fails!

Trust and do not fear! God always has a plan and works through His children. His ways are not like ours and He works in mysterious ways.

Fight the good and perfect fight, abiding in Our Lord Jesus, following His example, doing all things abiding in perfect love to the glorification of GOD!
